Got A Sec keeps what you give it on your phone and in your own calendar, and none of it comes to us. On this site, the only thing we keep is an email address you choose to give us.
Effective 16 September 2026
The short version
Got A Sec
Got A Sec has no account — there's nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. It has no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party software inside it, and it doesn't send your information to us. Here's what it uses on your phone, and why.
Your calendars
Got A Sec creates a calendar called “Got A Sec” and keeps your tasks in it as events, along with the details it needs to schedule them. Anything you type — a task's title, a note, a list — is kept in that same event. It reads your other calendars only to see when you're busy. Your calendars live wherever you keep them: if that's iCloud, your tasks sync to your other devices through your own iCloud account, under Apple's privacy policy. We can't see them.
Events it didn't create
Got A Sec only ever writes to the calendar it made. Everything else in your calendars is read to find free time and is never moved, edited, or deleted.
Location, if you use Places
If you pin places like home or a grocery store, the pins are saved on your phone, and iOS lets Got A Sec notice when you arrive at a pinned place that has a task waiting. A task waiting for a place keeps that pin's location in its calendar event. Your location is never sent to us, and Got A Sec works without location access.
Searching for a place, or looking at the map while you pin one, goes through Apple Maps — so that search and the map itself are handled by Apple, under Apple's privacy policy. We don't see them.
Your voice, if you capture by speaking
Speech is turned into text on your phone. Got A Sec requires on-device recognition, so your audio isn't sent to Apple or to us, and it isn't recorded or saved — only the task you said is kept. If you use Siri, that request is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled on your phone. No server sends them.
Settings and the Abandoned folder
Your hours, work hours, jobs, pinned places, and preferences are stored on your phone, as are tasks you let go of in the Abandoned folder. They're included in your phone's own backups like any app's data, and never sent to us.
Buying Got A Sec
Got A Sec is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your payment details.
Crash reports
If you've turned on Share With App Developers, Apple sends us crash reports and usage statistics. You can turn it off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes its settings and the Abandoned folder. iOS doesn't delete calendars along with apps, so to remove your tasks, delete the “Got A Sec” calendar in the Calendar app — that removes it from iCloud too, if it syncs there. You can revoke calendar, location, microphone, speech recognition, and notification access at any time in Settings → Got A Sec.

Menu early access
If you sign up, we store your email address, when you signed up, and the country your connection came from, which our host works out for us — we don't store your IP address. We use it for one thing: emailing you when Menu is ready. The list is kept with Cloudflare, isn't shared, and is deleted once that email goes out. Ask and we'll remove your address sooner.
If you write to us, we have your address and your message, and use them to reply. Our email runs on Google Workspace. We keep a conversation as long as it's useful for helping you, and delete it sooner if you ask.
Hosting
Cloudflare hosts this site. Like any host, it handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the site safe, and keeps short-lived request logs.
Cookies, tracking, and Do Not Track
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising, and we don't let any other company collect information about your activity here over time or across other websites. Because there's no tracking to switch off, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Who else handles data
Only Cloudflare, which hosts the site and keeps the early-access list, and Google Workspace, which runs our email. We use them for those jobs and nothing else, and they protect that data at least as well as this policy does.
Your rights
Email support@ramblin.ai to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, or get a copy to take elsewhere. It's free, and we'll respond within 30 days. You can withdraw consent the same way at any time — or for Got A Sec, in Settings → Got A Sec. You never have to give us any information, and nothing we do involves automated decisions about you.
Why we're allowed to use it
For people in the EU and UK, the law asks us to name a legal basis for each use:
- Early-access list: your consent, which you give by signing up.
- Replying to your email: our legitimate interest in answering you and supporting the apps we sell.
- Hosting and request logs: our legitimate interest in delivering the site and keeping it secure.
- Crash reports: your consent, which you give Apple on your device.
Where it's stored
Ramblin Studio LLC is based in the United States, so information you send us is processed there and wherever our providers operate. If you're in the EU or UK, that means it leaves your country. The European Commission's adequacy decision for the US covers only companies certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and we aren't one.
Complaints
If you're in the EU or UK, you can complain to your local data protection authority about how we handle your information. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Children
Our apps and this site aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new effective date. If a change affects information we already hold, it's posted here before it takes effect.
